When porting a geographical number (toll-free or landline) into your new platform, you will need to specify the type of port which is required; either CAT A or CAT C on the Letter of Authorisation form. Below is an outline of what easy type of post means.
-
CAT A (simple port): Please make sure there are no complex services attached to phone numbers.
-
CAT C (complex port): Complex services attached (e.g. ISDN, Line Hunt, etc.) will be cancelled out during porting. Please also request a CAT C port if you wish to port after business hours.
When filling out the Letter of Authorisation form, please make sure you indicate which type of port is required in step 2. We've added a screenshot below so you know where to look on the form to fill out this information specifically.
