Standard vs Dynamic tiles
There are 2 different types of Category tiles. We've listed them below for you:
- Standard: Icon, Photo & No image.
- Dynamic: Dynamic with icon & Dynamic no icon
Standard Option
The Standard options are similar to the default behaviour in which a link is shown to direct the user to a new page showing either the available Sections or Categories. This works with multi-category Help Centers or single-category Help Centers where the sections are displayed instead.
Dynamic Option
The Dynamic options are only for Help Centers which have multiple categories. These settings allow the user to easily browse the whole help center and preview the sections contained within each category.
Category Assignment
By default, images are assigned in the order they are shown within Guide. If you want the ability to lock the image to particular category, so that when you re-order them the icons remains, you'll need to assign the image to the Category ID.
Below is an example of how this achieved for our Help Centre:
1:900000052463 || 2:900000027746 || 3:12023435245209 || 4:900000282426 || 5: 37469243639193
- The first number is related to the image that is being assigned. For instance, the number 1 indicates that the proceeding category ID will be allocated to image 1.
- The second number is the category ID, this can be located within the URL of the category. The easiest way to get these, is to simply open the Help Centre (not in the Theme preview window, as the URL does not change), and simply select the category. You can then copy the ID out of the URL:
- Finally, each allocation is seperated by '||' to make it easy to visually seperate the data.
