Astro Theme accepts a variety of formats for images, in a variety of sections. When uploading images it's important to ensure that the file is both the right size and compressed (optional).
This guide will cover the following topics:
- Imaging Size (ratio)
- Image Compression
Image Size (ratio)

Uploading an image with an incorrect ratio may result in the shown image appearing cropped and potentially distorted, additionally, it means your users are downloading more information than they need to.

To safeguard fast page load speeds, we recommend the following:

- Use WebP format as it not only has great compression; it's also THE preferred choice by Google when considering your page's SEO ranking.
Note: You can also use PNG or JPG formats however, please make sure you have compressed your images first to ensure a small file size.
