How to configure a Zendesk Agent Signature Template

Agent signatures are a great way to personalise and brand your ticket responses in Zendesk. We've created a collection of common custom agent signature templates that you can use with your Zendesk.

Uploading an image as an asset to your help centre

How to copy the asset URL link for your image

Once you have uploaded your logo image to your help centre theme as an asset, you will need to copy the URL link to it so you can utilise the URL in the formatting of your signature. 

  1. In Guide, click the Customize design icon () in the sidebar.
  2. Click Customize on the theme you want to edit.
  3. Click Edit Code.
  4. In the Assets section, click the asset file you want to use.
  5. Right-click on the image and select "Copy image address" to copy the asset URL link you need to the Clipboard.
  6. Paste the asset URL somewhere temporarily for safekeeping until you are ready to use it.

Formatting agent signatures

Agent signatures can only be formatted in Zendesk with the use of Markdown. Zendesk signatures do not currently support HTML.

Recommendations

When using one of the templates below, ensure you update and/or insert the following where applicable:

  • Update Company Name
  • Update Team Name e.g Support Team, Customer Care Team or Customer Support Team
  • Update Company Phone Number
  • Update Company Address
  • Update Company Website URL
  • Update Zendesk Help Centre URL
  • Insert Company Logo URL
  • Insert Social Media Page URL(s)
  • Insert Social Media Icon URL(s)
