We're going to show you how to replicate the design and/or placement of the filters visible on the Zendesk dashboard within your own custom dashboard. Filters allow you to manipulate the output of data present inside the reports on the dashboard. A filter is also classed as a widget on the dashboard.
Time filter
This is the first filter (in the screenshot above) which displays the date range which the user would like to filter the dashboard results too.

- Filter placement: X = 32 & Y = 15

Data filter
This is the second row of filters (in the screenshot above) which allows the user to manipulate the dashboard results based on different types of data points.
